Glenn's foot

Here's the story on Glenn's foot. The first Saturday in February he was playing basketball. (This is something that I don't quite understand because he takes Advil before he plays and after he plays- my question is why do it then? LOL) Well, he heard something pop in his calf. The doctors thought that he tore a calf muscle and the information on the Internet said that it is primarily due to age! How's that for reality. But after a month of hobbling along, it still was not getting better. He was unable to lift himself up on his tip toes. So he went to an orthopedic doctor on Friday and needed an MRI but it looked like surgery was inevitable - more than likely a ruptured Achilles. So the MRI was yesterday at 7:30am. We found out at about 4:30pm that it was not that but a tendon that tore off the bone but can't attach it with surgery and the Achilles has some tears in it at the top but not in the ankle but those will heal. He does have to be in a boot, be on crutches for 4 weeks and then have rehab. But we are so thankful that he will not have to have surgery.

Aaah, the beauty of aging...our brain says we can still, but our bodies rebel. I hate that part.
(Hope Glenn has a speedy and complete recovery.)
