Who do you want to see in heaven?

"Who do you want to see in heaven, Dad?"
This was the question from Grant posed to Glenn at the supper table last night. We were talking about when Jesus comes back what will He do. Where will we live? Who did we want to see? "Elijah or Moses?"
We started to list off a bunch of people - Elijah, Moses - want to ask him how it was to part the red sea. Noah - What was it like to build such a huge boat. Jonah - what was it like in a fish? I said the people that I wanted to see in heaven were Glenn, Grant and Cole! They kind of blushed. Glenn said he wanted to see his mom again. But most of all we all agreed we want to see Jesus.
Who do you want to see in heaven? It's a good question. It's a question of action not of passivity. If you know someone that does not know the Lord, it's time to tell them about salvation. Who do you want to see in heaven? Does everyone you know, Know the Lord? Tell them in 2009! Don't wait. Who do you want to see in heaven?

What a great way to get us thinking about sharing our faith with others. Thanks, Steph.

I'm so excited to see my grandparents, of course, and some of my early Sunday school teachers who had an impact on my faith walk.

I'd like to get in line to talk to the Apostle Paul, to hear about his conversion and other adventures. And I'd like to talk to the guy who hung on the cross by Jesus -- the one tom whom Jesus said: "Today you will be with me in paradise."

Powerful stuff!! Reminds me of a song by Gaither Vocal Band; he meets Timothy, sat down with Paul but he begs "I want to see Jesus, the One who died for me!"

God has my curiosity peeked today; I have a blog rollin around my head that is about heaven as well.

Thanks for the "challenge."

Hmmm? There are people all over our fair little community that I wonder about, want to take action with so that they, too, might know him as you do - as I do!

Just discovered your blog and hope to snoop around here a little. Be blessed today and throughout 2009 as you add to the list those who will be counted - and seen - in heaven one day!
